Amex Offer: Up to 1,200 Bonus Points on Amazon Spending
Two versions of the targeted promotion give you extra points for spending $50 or $150 at Amazon through December 2026.

**Reported** by One Mile at a Time. American Express has added a targeted Amex Offers promotion for Amazon purchases. You can earn either 500 bonus Membership Rewards points when you spend $50, or 1,200 points when you spend $150. The offer runs through December 5, 2026.
I've got four kids and a minivan with 190,000 miles. That means I buy a lot on Amazon, enough that I keep an eye on these Amex deals. This one is worth checking if you're targeted.
The points versions are the better value. At One Mile at a Time's valuation of 1.7 cents per point, 500 points equals $8.50 back on a $50 spend (17% return). The 1,200-point version gives you $20.40 back on a $150 spend (13.6%). That's on top of whatever rewards you normally earn with the card.
Not everything counts. The offer excludes Prime memberships, auto-renew subscriptions, and corporate or custom gift cards. Reloading your Amazon gift card balance should work, based on past experience from the source.
For a family of four, that's potentially $20+ back on a $150 order.
This is a targeted offer, so not everyone will see it. Log into your Amex account, check the Offers tab, and add the deal if it's there. If you're targeted, this is a no-brainer to save on your next Amazon run.
